This was recommended in the good beer guide and also by our guest house landlady in Oban so we went there for lunch. It turned out to be a large traditional style inn over multiple rooms, with a good lunch menu and a couple of decent ales on the bar (a wheat beer and a mild from my recollection). Very good.

invararay in a lovely little village in a spectacular area, and the George Hotel complements it beautifully.
have visited a few times for the bar.
its appears bit gloomy after outside, but once your accustomed, all is revealed.
the place is well looked after, with spacious bar and dining areas, good range of drinks, with cask ales & whiskies.

Round the corner from the jail
Down the dark corridor of gloom
Past bare stone wall and panelled room
To the cheery man of bar
and the busy maids of serve
For splendid food and tasty ale
that we deserve
and back to car and off to sail.

best place i've stayed in scotland. how they do it for the money i don't know. the rooms are sumptious and haunted. it's a friendly ghost though. it's a beautiful, cosy hotel. very welcoming staff too. i'm dribbling just thinking about the food. i had a steak pie but the pastry was more like a yorkshire pudding. i could eat it every day for the rest of my life (which probably wouldn't be too long if i did). so reasonably priced too.
