please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Smaller and more gloomy than their website lead me to expect. Beer was just okay but the whisky was a bit mind-blowing to be fair. The rest of the lads seemed to like it but I won't rush back myself.

When I visited last year I found this pub to be up there, certainly in my top three of pubs in the city- and we got through a lot! Very cosy and fascinating interior, rambling through several areas. A number of real ales although this is primarily a bar noted for its whiskies. There is plenty of interest within, it was quite busy and seemed to attract a mixed clientele. A general good all-round atmosphere, and much better than this rating suggests- perhaps it has improved considerably lately?

It's good, getting very expensive (2.65 a guinness)though. Perhaps why it ain't as busy during the week as it used to be (heaving). Musicians are terrible and are worse for having pretensions to greatness. Ben Nevis (argyle street) is a gem - open fire, live music by talented young musicians and Guinness 2.25 a pint.

Great pub. Name means Whisky in Gaelic. Bigger selection of whisky than you could ever hope for. An amazing atmosphere created by an OTT scottish decor. Weekly live music. You will love this pub.
