S77 or s club 7 as it was more commonly known was the worst thing that happened to the royal, during its 2/3 months closure to be converted to S club 7 every one started drinking elsewere and by the time it re opened with a total face lift no one went back in, as a result the usual faces and mates we used to chat with were long gone now they are just another face in the crowd. it quickly filled with chavs and tossers (you looking at my bird) and with in about a year it was like ghost town on saturday night only 2 or 3 people in there all night.
This was as ive said the worst thing that ever happened to The Royal.... Bring back The royal

Didn't this used to be the Royal Hotel? I remember this as a rock music haunt and what we have here is a tawdry teen club with one heavy door presence. The weekend crush of fun seekers engage themselves in the process of never being able to find the fun they seek and when the lights go up the floor is littered with much of what's been sold over the bar and the remnants of peoples' dignity. Come on Thwaits, you can do better than this.
