First time I went here midweek it came across as a nice little pub. Tidy, well run, and with two a good selection of beers include a couple of cask ales.

Went again about 6 months later on a Friday night and got a completely different opinion. Not sure if the ownership has changed but the bar staff had no idea what they were doing, all the decent beers were off, the pool table was broken, the juke box was broken etc etc. However it was still a lively and friendly atmosphere and the karaoke was entertaining. Hopefully they can get the basics sorted because it can be a great place to visit.

It's a busy pub but you can awlays get served, usually really hot in here, is it a ploy to get you to drink more? Bands vary, but is ususally ok. before the Bridgewater it was THE meeting place, most people visit it a some time during the night.

Feels like a pub should. Full of good atmosphere , great live bands and friendly staff. Real ale always available but limited to Thwaites beers only. No cheap offers so doesnt attract the "cheapskates". A must visit if you are in the town centre.

Looks nice from the outside but don't be fooled, it was full of scallies and felt like it could kick off any minute, drinks were really over-priced and it's a bit too bright in there - if your on the pull prepare to lower your standards!! One to avoid...
