This pub no longer looks open. It certainly wasn't open on a Saturday afternoon, despite its website saying it would be. It appears to host a Thai restaurant (or maybe it's now a Thai restaurant hosting a pub). Opening hours for food suggested they were only 12-2 for lunch. It's a Fullers pub that appears to be looking for new proprietors. Peering through the window, I could see London Pride handpulls and little else. 0/10 as not open, despite their website stating it was.

Village High Street pub.
Large TV screen overwhelms the seating area.
Locals seem to block the bar despite not being many of them.
Only real ale Fullers London Pride.
Clean and the bar staff were friendly and very apologentic when problems arose changing barrels and we had to wait for a beer.

Absolutely nothing going for it, least of all the cheerless bar staff and the beer is poorly kept, and the constant sport loudly shown on TV makes for a big swerve. The Jolly fisherman a Macmullen' pub at least sits on the river giving a lovely view of the narrowboats ..not a vote for Macs but at least it's a step better than the drab and dingy and cheerless Lord Louis.

Great little village pub - under new management now - starting to turn things around. Open fire, new lunchtime food and some evevings and weekends. Good selection of Fullers real ales and normal largers etc.....
Have also started some live music events twice per month on Sundays, cracking nights entertainment......

very dark & dreary pub which would benefit from a good scrub & lick of paint.

Not a family pub, it's geared more to chav like football fans. Stay well clear if you like a pint in convivial surroundings

Try the jolly fisherman further up the high street for a clean well laid out bar, good food and views of the narrowboats on the canal!!
