| This pub is the best local pub in the area since Dermot & Anna took it over about 3 years ago,In that time Dermot has got rid of all the un-desireables that used to frequent the pub,and now has a decent cliental,There is usually music on fridays and saturdays,with a quiz about once a month,Anybody interested in sports are well catered for, (especally golf ) It is well worth a visit if you are in the area even if it is just to see the hard work Anna puts in behind the bar,and also the work Dermot puts in on the other side of the bar in his public releations duties eddieteddy - 19 Mar 2009 19:45 |

| Just about the only pub left in this bit between the old Kent Rd and Peckham Rd - several have closed down in the last few years. The Albert site is now new flats. The Asylum was my mates local and we enjoyed it after work and weekends. Had couple of banging Christmas & NY eve nights down here. Decade or so on, its got new management I think and smart new paint job.
