Had a very disappointing evening meal tonight. Crispy Duck was Soggy - they took it back and burnt the skin again....was still soggy. Offered a free dessert, chose cheese but the biscuits were also soggy. Still cost us 65.00. Won't be going again. No account taken of the spoilt evening and the cost of taxis to get there and back. Dreadful!

Having eaten there recently I was impressed with the quality of the food. The interior is completely out of keeping with the exterior, but the food was great. No comfortable area to relax before or after dining though, and the tables are cramped.

This place has been a real victim of constantly changing management over the last 5-10 years. Faces behind the bar have come & gone & the quality of the beer & food has fluctuated along with the venue's popularity. Used to be our favourite pub in the locality with well kept & selected ales & an unbeatable menu of traditional & not so traditional home-cooked meals.

It's latest reincarnation is one of those overpriced, out of place bistros & there has been a row over whether locals are allowed to come in to drink at the bar if not eating. Is this supposed to be progression?

I regularly ate here and i thoroughly enjoyed the food. The staff were a delight except some of the bar members were unprofessional. The food was delicious and it was very sad to see the pubs managers leave in February last year after they had worked so hard to improve the place.
