Agree with Ellboy here, great potential in the place and Anthony is a fantastic performer with great talent. Be wary of the f***in' psycho element amongst some of the locals however, in that oh so casual broken glass and slashed face sort of way for 'looking at me funny'. Yeah - I'm quaking in my f***in' boots son, now troll off and go and finish your jail sentence and get some more groovy home made tattoos. Good digital jukebox in the establishment - 'Can we have everything louder than everything else please?'

Now run by a good friend of mine called Anthony, who is also a professional Elvis Tribute Artist and is working hard to turn the pub into an entertainment pub, with live music and karaokes, and of course his own show with live band backing, and they were recently filmed playing at the pub by the BBC.

My grandmother used to be the landlady of this pub until she died in 1980..Her name was May Whipp. She loved working here!

This pub deserves a drink just to support the owner Doug who has worked tirelessly to turn it around in hard times. Dont give up Doug!
