This shouldn't be on a pub-related website should it?

Top venue, but have your plastic at the ready as you will be spending your way out of the recession. You can't just walk in off the street, you need to book in advance and also go through the equivalent of airport security. All of that should screen out the riff raff.

At 40ish floors up it does come second to the bar at the top of The Gherkin but the latter needs invites to get into. The reason being that The Gherkin has 360 degree views which this does not. That said, lovely views, just pick the right day!

Soon it will have a challenger, the upstart Shard.

Very dull. Very very dull.

Can't agree that the place is soul destroying, it's a fantastic place. Without doubt the best views of London, very good staff (they'll make every effort to get you the best seats but it's definitely best to ask for a specific view in advance) and I'm told the food is good. If you time your bookings right (I think you get a 90 minute slot) it's the perfect way to start an evening before eating at Rhodes. Not in any way a pub though.

Staggered that this place is on the site. Unbelievable. Not a pub in any conceivable way.

Soul Destroying with a capital S and a capital D. Only come here if (a) you are on an expense account or (b) you live in Romford and have a pretty low grade city job and want to feel like a winner in the capitalist world for a night. Pack your Gucci loafers.

Great place, great champagne and good service. I was there a few weeks back for a work thing and we had a superb time.
