please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

A two for one pub which is good value food if you get the right cook on the day,the beer prices are reasonable but don't expect a full pint and although there's a notice to ask for a top up it's considered an offence by some of the staff, be prepared to rub shoulders with contractors at tea times and also endure the foul mouthed banter.Mixture of clientele, popular with families.Good location for a pub, adequate smoking area, large car park.

I have only been here once in the autumn of 2005. It is a little out of my way, as I live in Sutton town centre, but I must agree with the other reviews I have read so far, what a great place, THE most friendly staf I have ever encountered, and the regulars treat me well also. I wouldn't feel intimidated watching a match here. (I don't like football). I'm told the food is good, but haven't yet tried it. If you're from out of town, and you're travelling the A38 bypass, this is the one to hit!

Excellent selection of well kept beers. Better than average food. Friendly atmosphere. Spoilt at weekends by hoards of football fans, smoking, swearing & shouting.

This is the friendliest pub I have ever been to! The staff are the greatest! And such a bargain too!
