Nice enough pub with a good range of ales. Staff were welcoming. Quite busy.

Now serving 5 real ales at all times, condition's good too. 25p off a half and 50p off a pint for CAMRA members, but 5pm-9pm weekdays it's 1 off a pint for everyone. Makes it typically 2.10 a pint at the moment if you time it right.

Trendy, expensive, spacious. Good selection of beers, but don't expect much back from a fiver if you plump for something interesting. Food isn't very good at all.

Attractively furnished and comfortable, food varies between OK (roast) and excellent (tagine surprisingly). Enjoyed the 2 beer passports where you get six 1/3 pints from a number of countries. The quiz can be rather intrusive.

Too expensive? I don't get it. Yes, I was only in the pub because of some random reunion thing and my first time in nottingham, but I'd rather pay 3 odd for a pint of well kept totally different european beer than pay jack all for some generic crap that you can gat everywhere. Maybe they price up for this reason, those wheat beers can't be cheap to import. As for the ales, had a lovely pint of Henrys IPA, which I know isn't local, but maybe this isn't a real ale pub as much of the below reviews wish. Maybe, just maybe, it's a pub that's got it's act together and taylors for just about every taste. Moaning about 2.75 a pint? God, bet the new chancellor's your best mate...

No longer a student pub. Good mix of clientele. Good selection of beers on draught and in bottles. Usually three real ales on from breweries such as Wells, Adnams, Wyre Piddle, Timothy Taylor. Cask Marque accredited so you know they'll be served in good condition in a dimpled pint mug (remember those?!) The only downside is the price. Expect to pay around 2.75 for a pint.

I've seen worse - but far too expensive compared to some really good real ale places only a few minutes away

Gone from being a student bar to a post re-fit first date bar. it alright!

Too 'studenty' before refurbishment, but nice decor now - good music, but way way too expensive. Some different beers make it worth a visit, but your wallet will mean its a short one.

Another scream pub, not very good in the past, but a new manager starts this week called Rob, quality bloke who will definitely turn the pub into one of the best student places in town.
