This is a reasonably big pub which is a bit of a walk from the main Stockton high street stuff. It's a chain pub, not 100 percent sure which company but it does the standard cheapish food and what not. On the bar they had - Cameron's Strongarm, Maxim Swedish Blonde, Hobgoblin gold and another Porter (not sure which brewery or the name of it). I went for the Strongarm at 2 pound a pint, A pretty solid beer as well. There's not much to say about the pub itself, The bar was quite long in a U shape, had a few fruit machines and horse racing on the telly. Locals were quite friendly and so were the bar staff. Decent pub to be fair

Lovely pub, great atmosphere, good karaoke, food could be better. I agree on the comments about becoming a gay bar, quite a few in there. Could be ran a lot better, especially as the manager openly snogs and flirts a lot with female customers and staff, which is not very professional at all!!!

Very expensive for Stockton. Food is of a poor quality and the dcor is starting to look a little tatty. Fast gaining a reputation as a GAY bar

The Drinks Are Cheap & every Single Member Of The Staff Are Great- Very friendly ! The Pub Is Kept To a Very High Standard & Ran Brillantly, Brillant Atmosphere, They Have Regular Karoke Which Is a Good Laugh, Also The Food Is Very Satisfying. Although The Toliets Are Very Warm But Apart From That The Royal Oak Is A Great Pub To Drink Either On a Night Out Or To Nip Into For Some Food

the drinks are little expensive but the shots are really nice. you dont get hounded by anyone and the staff are willings to have a laugh (which makes you feel a little more comfortable) it can be a little too smokey if you dont smoke (which i dont) but other than that its quite good. oh and the toilets are in a silly place (upstairs) cos people can fall up or down them and get hurt if they have had a couple of drinks or if they are wearing beer goggles he he
