With its semi rural location, generous garden out back, kids mini zoo, playground and a quite tasteful interior, you would think that this place has much to offer. The carvery style food is actually very tasty and service is swift, if slightly inept.
What lets this place down is its attraction to the 'Nouveau Pikey' brigade; fleets of Mitsubishi Warrior trucks, arms and backs covered in children's names and dates of birth (just in case they forget, I suppose), Stella and fags, plus a compulsive trait of making sure everyone else is aware of their existence by swearing, shouting at the kids, allowing them to act like the snot filled Giro fodder they are, all iced with the usual argument about everything and nothing.
Don't bother - a 2 mile drive up Capstone Road takes you to the Harrow. Much better.

Decided to call in on a busy Saturday night in the hopes of having a meal. Great food, good real ale (well-conditioned pint of Doom Bar), excellent service and very friendly staff made it a pleasant evening. We'll definitely go back.

Decided to try the sunday carvery, arrived approx 16.30.
We purchased are tokens for the carvery and proceeded to the serving counter.I had three meat option where my partner had two meats. These were beef, pork and turkey. All were over cooked and dry,the veg were under cooked especially the cauliflower. And not even a good slice of meat but a small chunk not a slice.
All in all very disappointing, compared to other local carverys I could mention.!!!!

This place is ok for a weekday lunch and a few beers in the garden which is nice, weekends its a different story. I phoned up in the morning to book Sunday lunch and was told to be there before 3pm. We arrived at 2pm and asked to book lunch for 4, we were told no need to book as dinner would be served until 5pm and they had loads left. We went back to the bar 15 mins later to be told lunch had sold out, so we ended up with fish and chips. We visited on Reggae Sunday but I never heard a Reggae track, the DJ managed to clear the garden and the pub in about 20 mins with his hip-hop/ rap. Unfortunately due to its remote location we couldnt get a taxi out of there for over an hour so suffered longer than we would have liked.

One of the worst pubs in Medway. Full of chavs on quiz nights and the musicians are regularly heckled. Poor selection of beers make the situation worse

Great little pub this, very nice indeed. Was dreading venturing in when it said Karaoke in all honesty but what a surprise - so many talented and versatile singers, great to sit back with a good pint and enjoy. Makes a rare change from ten teenagers singing "Wonderwall" at the tops of their voices.

i work in this pub and things have changed since the last post all of the staff are friendly, the atmospher is great and the food is brilliant ok the prices are not the cheapest around how ever that is the decision of the owner of sr leisure whom is not the kindest of people but the goos thing is he is never there the manager is a friendly bloke and he manages a good pub and a good team of staff

Decent sized road house style pub. Used to have warmth and character with guest ales, but an edge has crept in over the past couple of years. On my last visit the place was dominated by games machines and large tv screens. No atmosphere. No welcome from the staff. Karaoke is the main attraction. They do mussells and chips - but I wouldn't feel comfortable eating in the cold atmosphere. Owned by SR Leisure (Veena Leisure). No guests ales - Best and Pride. The Pride was in good condition.

Whoa!! What is it with this pub and Karaoke! Been a number of times and everybody and I mean EVERYBODY can sing! Even the old fella in the corner that's in his seventies is up there doing covers of Sinatra and Dean. Weird, don't bother if you like a bit of a laugh on the Karaoke cos they're all deadly serious about it.

Pretty good beer, atmosphere is good until the Karaoke starts up and then you can't hold a conversation because of the Maria and Michael Bolton impressions that are going on in the corner.

If that's what you like, you'll love it.
