Cracking little pub, serving doom bar & hobgoblin gold. I had the latter and it was good.
A nice beer garden and dog friendly too. Away from the town centre and so avoids the town crowd. Recommended.

Visited in November 2011 and again earlier this month. On both occasions (mainly local) ales very well kept as was the Doombar. This pub has a nice, friendly feel to it and is well patronised by all age groups - probably all the better for it too!

Used to be a good pub for bar billiards, but no table there now.

Single bar pub with a central bar on the outskirts of Horsham. A wood burner is situated in the large fireplace. The local dog population seemed to be enjoying the heat it was producing. Getting to the bar was quite difficult, with stools located all around. Harveys Best & Adnams Explorer were the 2 beers available on arrival. Although Sharps Doom Bar was pulled through whilst we were there. The locals appeared fairly friendly.

Popped in for a drink after a disappointing sunday lunch in another pub. Lovely pub. Beer pleasant. Staff pleasant.

The irony was after our disapointing sunday roast elsewhere the sunday roast being served in here looked very impressive and very appetising. Obviously we didn't try it, but it looked good enought to tempt us to definitely try it out next time we go out for sunday lunch.

Garden looks good too.

Only negative was the table had an unseen but tacky feeling to the top of it so your arms/sleeves/hands got stuck to it regularly.

Popped into this pub after a morning walk in the woods. Never been before and we were pleasantly surprised. Nice garden at the back and friendly staff. We decided to have lunch (just sandwiches) and it was all great. We shall return!

Huge beer garden is great in the summer. Food is ok but a bit bland, like it's part of some sort of 'add food to your pub!' package from a caterer. Sunday Roasts a different beast and very nice indeed, with good value offers.
Harveys always well kept, think I've had one of my best pints of the stuff here. Good jukebox too. Nice atmosphere inside. Would visit more often if it was closer, and if the food during the week was more interesting.

Visited this pub yesterday lunchtime for a sunday lunch, lovely well cooked leg of lamb with all the trimmings and cauliflower cheese to die for, beer selection was good and service and waiter we had were second to none, will be heading back sooner rather than later.

Really friendly and great service alongside well kept beers and good quality pub grubby food - my homemade burger was spectacular. This feels like a village local despite being in the town. Wish it was my local.

What a huge improvement. Good beer, good wine and the food looked great.

Many thanks to Jo and Laura for an excellent lunch yesterday at the Foresters, if there was a prize for the most improved pub ever this would win it!

visited 24th november lunchtime. greeted by the friendly landlord and was promptly served with a refreshing pint of bombadier. also had a fantastic meal and a couple more pints. the landlord joe made everyone, including myself, feel very welcome and the sight of a roaring fire was very welcoming indeed.

I hadnt been in here for a couple of years so I was pleased to find a friendly welcome and a decent pint of Harveys this evening. Although this pub is the opposite end of town from where I live, I shall be going back.

Probably the best pub in Horsham at the moment - a real traditional pub with welcoming landlord and landlady who actually work. Excellent beer, good food, friendly atmosphere and clearly popular with the locals.

Every time I go to this place there seems to have been a change of management! The new couple seem to have put a lot of effort in to make this place a success; and I'd love to see them succeed. Nice friendly people and the beer is very good now.

Just re opened after a beatifull refurb, they have kept the flagstone floors and old beams, added a stylish small dining area, done a cracking job on the garden, kept the boule court, added a kitchen and built new toilets. All done in excellent taste. The beer has improved too, with Harveys Sussex Best in particularly good nick. Friendly new young landlord. Really couldn't fault it, very impressed. This is a genuinely traditional, friendly, wet led boozer. Plenty of loyal characters propping up the bar. They have a plasma screen but promise only to turn it on for the rugby or cricket.........perfect!

Seems popular with locals and regulars but served us the worse two glasses of red wine (read Sarsons) I've ever tasted. Nice small garden, characterful interior, indifferent beers, friendly people.

Management has recently changed, and it seemed to have more people going to it than before when i popped in the other week. Previous owners were fab, but they seemed to be lagging towards the end of their time. The place needed some fresh air. The new management havent changed the character of the pub, and they seem like welcoming guys. Still a thumbs up for me!

Terrible pub, the management can't seem to decide if they will open each day or not. Often walk past on my way to town only to find it closed. When you do find the pub open the beer is iffy. True the real ale is not bad but have you tried the lager?! And don't even contemplate the Guinness. While the pub does have a certain charm it really needs the management to work out what they are trying to achieve.

Went on a pleasant summer Saturday afternoon. Opted for the Greene King IPA which was very pleasant, always a winner for me. The pub had a very "local" feel, but very friendly and everyone was very nice. Little garden outside. I enjoed my visit to this pub, it was cozy and quiet, but not in a bad way.

Lovely, cozy interior with a traditional pub feel. Real fire in winter, and a garden out the back for the summer. Very friendly staff, and customers! You almost feel at home when you walk in and sit down with a nice pint of Greene King IPA.
Quality of beers is good, just at the right temperature for a smooth drink.
Definately one to check out.
