please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

I'm willing to bet that this pub wasn't always called this.

A large utilitarian looking pub on the main drag through Blackwater. Inside it was OK, spacious with lots of seats. No sign of Bumble Bee Beer, but they did sell Windsor and Eton Windsor Knot and Knight of the Garter, along with London Pride and Rev. James.

We were there at 1600 hours so it was pretty quiet ( but not empty) but we certainly wouldn't object to visiting again.

Very friendly staff and customers i must say. The other people drinking in there were very chatty which was very surprising seeing as they all seemed to have colds as they all had runny noses.

i also noticed they must drink a lot of beer as they visited the toilet rather often.

i would definitely go there again for a chat

Weird one this pub.

Found myself yesterday in Blackwater for a meeting and needed somewhere for lunch beforehand and standing in Lidl's car park I thought I'd much rather starve. My colleagues thought otherwise and after much deliberation about very little choice, we ended up in Mr Bumble.

From the outside, especially in winter, you'd probably be minded to give this a miss, it suffers from being too close to a main road and looks dirty/rough but as they say looks can be misleading.

Its a very spacious pub and as Alicr mentions above it is so friendly. The guy serving, who we believe was the landlord, couldn't do enough for us. The food was nothing fancy, just good and hearty and the Mr Bumble Best Bitter (supplied and budged by Ushers) was a clean and refreshing pint.

Don't be put off by first impressions.

This one of the most (if not the most) friendliest pub in the area by far!!..total mixture of age groups and genres. Large screen showing all sporting activities, pool tables and beer garden. Caters for various functions and has a live band every Saturday bringing everyone together with dancing, singing and laughter!..a great pub to visit to make new friends, have a laugh with the locals, chill and relax after a hard days work or just absorb the friendly atmosphere!
Philippa and Mark (landlords) have done a great job in running this pub and looking after their customers and sustaining a trouble free environment for all to enjoy for many, many years and long may they continue to do so!
Blackwater would not be Blackwater without Mr Bumble! Salut!

This pub has a great friendly, relaxed atmosphere in the week and has cheap pool tables! The staff are really welcoming and chatty, so I'd happily wander in by myself and the foods pretty tasty too, good selection of beers and spirits and big screen showing sports etc.
Always really clean and tidy, and fab decorations for halloween/christmas etc etc the landlady/lord are lovely and take care of their customers just like they do their pub!
Weekends are when it gets lively, especially when they have a band on in the evening you cant fail to have a fun night!
oh and bentley the dog is pretty cute too!
generally I love this pub!!!!!!!!!!!

Large pub near Blackwater station. Decent choice of real ales and lagers. Worth a visit, especially on Saturday nights when they have live music.

Yes the black dog is still here, but the area called Blackwater is not a pleasant place.

Better then the swan across the road, a few pool tables, good selection of beers. Still not brilliant but ok for the odd drink.

Better than the one across the road in my opinion. Has a bit of a friendlier atmosphere and better drinks as well. Can watch the big screen here. Watch out for the big black dog when you walk in

Quite a lively pub with pool tables, juke box and large TV. Toilets are clean and well kept and there is a food menu too which I've yet to try. Many of the usual beers and lagers on tap like London Pride, Budweiser, Kronenberg and IPA. Hope to be back there again soon!
