Found it a bit bland and like a small chain pub - plenty of ales on but the one I chose was a struggle to drink.

The Cornerhouse is the antithesis of the White Horse opposite. It has next to no character. But it does have a great selection of ales. On my late Saturday evening visit, they had Black Sheep Best Bitter, Adnams Broadside, White Horse Black Horse Porter, Abbeydale Deception, Timothy Taylor Landlord, Greene King IPA, Knots of May Light Mild, Cross Bay Zenith & Sunset, St Peter's Mild, Stonehenge Heel Stone & Exmoor Fox. The cider was Westons Old Banger. Service was friendly and professional. The good choice of beers makes this a recommendation. I moved on from here to the recently re-opened Durham Ox and also the Moulders Arms. Neither are listed on here.

Apart from The Chequers micro pub this in my opinion is the only other one worth going to if you like your real ale. Big selection form near and further away.

The Cornerhouse still has a great selection of well kept beers including local and from further afield. Check about days when food is served.

Best looking female publican I've seen in England! Nice pints of Black Sheep and the raised sitting area has hugh windows looking out onto a small courtyard.

The cornerhouse is a great put have only been a few times on the evenings but have visited many a time for breakfast, my only dissopointment is the sausages not as good as they used to be.

I would need to re-visit this place before my impression is lifted, and first impressions count for a lot. It was very busy, and that was on a Friday evening. Perhaps the current economic situation had impacted on the footfall, but even though, I am of the belief that Beverley is a place insulated from the current economic meltdown.

The bar staff were polite and the prices were not too inflated. Maybe it needs a few more people in there to recreate the 'buzz' that everyone else is making a reference too.

Good selection of beers, nice atmosphere with a good mix of people. Can get very busy at weekends though as Beverley is a very popular pub crawl.

I used to frequent this pub as a highly trained and professional member of HM Forces (he says tongue firmly in cheek) It was handy because of the locality to the bus station and a short distance to negociate after 12 pints. Quite a nice pub as I remember it. Not that I remember much. Oh well.

I moved to Beverley in 1999 from the Seattle Washington. I have been visiting pubs all over Europe and the United Kingdom since my arrival,so have had the opportunity to drink from some of the best. This pub so far has the friendliest staff I have ever met, the management mixes with thier clients always stopping for a few words. The age group is anywhere from 20 to 60, with a very good mix. I have never seen or heard of any incidentsof violence in the pub. The food is a tribute to the chef, and the sunday morning breakfast after a hard saturday night on the tiles is a welcome. I would recommend anyone coming to Beverley to visit this pub.
The landlords are a great team, and its a pleasure going to this pub any night of the week.
