A decent pub which is not as expensive as its Kings Road neighbours. Actually has the the atmosphere of a pub with pleasant bar staff. Limited choice of beer but definately worth an excursion if you are in the area.

I've walked passed several times, but today decided to drop in for a quick one.
Nice pub, limited choice of ales but above all an enthusiastic knowledgeable landlord.
I'll probably stay longer next time.

Lovely pub, good beer, food was delicious, a bit pricey but worth it. Above the urinals in the gents is a board full of jokes, could spend a while in there but it look suspicious

Visited on 27 October 2010 for the first time in a decade or so. Pub has been extensively refurbished: stripped floorboards and a segregated, curtained-off area for diners.

Beerwise, just two handpumps remain, only one in use on my visit - reasonably-kept London Pride @ 3.60.

Extensive range of teas and coffees. Staff pleasant and quick to serve, and I saw the landlord sitting and chatting to drinkers on the bar, showcasing the friendliness of the place.

Some of the pub's cosiness and intimacy have been lost with the removal of curtains from windows but otherwise pleasant enough and a decent pint.

As an occasional visotor to the UK, The Crown's latest incarnation is a delight. Great beers and great food. I especially the new look of the place - Ill be back!

Great pub - delicious food and enough variety in the drinks list to keep everyone happy. Crowd was cool - good mix of locals and newcomers with some very good looking boys and girls to boot. Definitely a good place to while the hours away.

I think The Crown is a true jewel in - Chelsea. Great food, lovely atmostphere inside and out. The food is a treat and the wine list is definitely worth casting an eye over. The publican has obviously put a lot of effort into ensuring it remains a locals pub - but one with a welcoming atmosphere for newcomers.

I liked this pub because it was a nice mix of cozy and low key but also attracted a smart crowd. Basically anyone would feel at home because it's friendly and real. I thought the selection of beers was good and the menu was creative. I thought it was a good sign that the locals were still coming back even after the new design and that they still approved of the place. I will definitely go back again.

Had a great French themed evening here, friendly management, good crowd of folks. It's retained the charm of a small local pub and has great food.

Pub that has obviously received a makeover that has completely spoiled it. Two real ales were available - London Pride and Spitfire. But this was a really bland and expensive pub that deoesn't deserve any custom.

Not my sort of thing I'm afraid. I can imagine this used to be a decent street corner boozer, but now it's just sterile. Not really sure what it's trying to be, but whatever it is - they certainly know how to charge for it.

The is a gem of a pub. The new owner has really done a wonderful job on the beer and the gastropub menu. The Sunday roast was excellent and the extra outdoor tables are a great addition. I'll be back.

Clean and scrubbed looking, though a bit tattier than my last visit a couple of years ago. This time they had St Austell Tribute and GKIPA on last time they had the superb Otter Ale on, so I dont think that the replacements are an improvement. I tend to think that this establishment is more of a restaurant than a pub. Its OK, but not really my kind of place.

Saw an actor bloke in here from ever decreasing circles. Thats about the best bit about this place. My mates from Northern Ireland were with me and they thought they must have ordered ten pints by mistake. Not cheap.

I used to work in the hospital opposite, and was shocked when I went for a leaving drink there. Not a pub at all, its all for (very expensive) food (cheese on toast!). The Otter beer is good for the area, but the decor is really horrible, and the place has the air con full blast (in November). Not a place you would want to linger, although the number of NHS staff there before the refit suggestes that you used to be able to.

Great "pub" - only 3 or 4 seats for drinking - the rest is for eating in the back restaurant.

However, we just dropped in for a pint and a baguette and where really bowled ovr by the real friendly guy that served us. Had a scrummy ham, cheese and pickle baguette.

Will deffo' go again and highly recommend the place.

More of a foody bar than yer traditional streetcorner boozer. Very pleasant, small bar area at the front with a sort of dining room to the rear. Foody barrishness notwithstanding, the beer was very well kept (Otter Bitter on my last visit - nice to find something as alien as a Devon beer in a little place in Chelsea) and is recommended.

I think this is a great pub. Recently refurbished - modern and comfy in style. The two guys that run/own the place couldn't have been more friendly. Service and food excellent.

Recently renovated. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Good food, simple menu, terrific burgers and winelist - Oveja Negra (Cab Sauv/Syrah) stands out.

changes hands more often than a dodgy fiver - now even more expensive in its current incarnation

this pub is superb, the management are extremely friendly and if you get the right night there are some wonders to be found behind the bar serving you a beverage!
