please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Having had a cloudy Wye Valley Brewery offering the night before, this time it was their HPA which wasn't right although it was changed without question (but still was only average). TT Landlord also on sale as well as 2 real ciders - their own "Kings" cider and a wild farmhouse one from Oliver's. Nice view from the front beer garden.

Found at 11am on a Saturday morning, 8 miles and 2hours 40 minutes into a walk from Hereford.

Fortunately, there was a stag do on, and the pub was just opening!

Decent pint of Wye Valley HPA in a lovely beer garden.

Just returned to the area after 5 years away and up[dating the reviews. Had a cracking day there recently when the kids helped to make cider in the car park. The beer was excellent and the entire place much friendlier than when we used to come in 5 years ago.

Used to go here regularly until the long term licensees left about 3 years ago. Had varied reports since but most recent visit was OK. Range of local beers and excellent value home made faggots. Starter of one small ring of black pudding and one poached egg with a drizzle of sauce was overpriced at 4.50. Quite a restricted menu with no fish main course- they have a long way to go to catch up with the standards set by Neil and Sally who now help to run the restaurant at the Leisure Complex in nearby Fownhope.

Called here on holiday. An excellent pub with good food and a very welcoming staff (I think it has changed hands since 2004)

The Crown Inn has many things going for it. Whenever I have friends or family down to stay it is always the 'pub of choice'. I would not describe the food as exotic, but what they do they do well. There is a large garden at the back, with pleasant staff and generous portions. This pub is very high on my list. Definately worth a visit. (The vegetarian menu is very good, I quite often have will order a vegetarian meal although I am not vegetarian myself!)

Nice pint and good food, but I always feel that the pub is not so welcoming unless you are a local or eating.
