A locals pub, but i've never found it rough. It's real and genuine and full of real people.

This is a great pub in the middle of an estate. Once the locals know your face you're OK. Can understand why some people don't like it though. We've been drinking there for a few years now and know the score. Some very loud characters about but they're harmless enough - most of the time :)

Food is great quality and cheap. Sunday lunch excellent. Karaoke and disco nights popular. Great atmosphere when football's on.

Give it a try - you don't have to come back if you don't like it do you? :)

They have now put a fence all the way round the pub to keep you in!!

Went in there for a quick pint whilst I was waiting for my chinese take away. Left after probably the quickest pint I've had in a long time. The Chinese take away wasn't all that either. Don't bother.

I've been in there once - went to the juke box and some p'd up bloke was leanining against it "excuse me, have you finished" "yeh go ahead"

I go to put a pound in it and said p'd up bloke grabs my arm, pins me against the wall, and goes ape sh*t at me because he wanted Shania Twain on there.

I think that says it all.....

Went in there yesterday - I might have misinterpretated the newspaper advert concerning food as I didn't see any when I was there, but I was very surprised when I visited. The interior is in process of renovation at the moment and it's looking really nice. There's a selection of bitters, as it's a Greene King house and it's spacious and lively. It's also a lot friendlier than I thought it would be too. Worth giving a try, you'll be amazed!

To be fair I have the impression that 'Shani' who runs the pub is trying to turn it around. There are offers on drinks, particularly during football, and also more food on. Adverts have been taken out in the local paper to push this. I have heard many good things about the staff, who are trying to do their best in the face of some very negative publicity a few months ago.

Went in there and thought I wouldn't leave alive. It's not a pub I'd advise for a quick pint and a crossword
