When I visited, it was over the festive period and the rear bar was very busy, so dived into the small bar at the front. The only ale on was Black Sheep so gave that a wide berth. Looks like it's had a recent refurb. Had a quick scotch and left. Leave conclusions up too you!

Great location and a decent pint of Black Sheep.

A lovely pub, with great views from the beer garden. I sat here last august, enjoying fabulous black sheep ale served by a friendly, knowledgeable barman, and ate a great beef & gravy bagette served by a lovely black waitress. One of those special moments that make life on the road worth it.

Great pub, friendly local, perfect place to sit outside in the beer garden and look at the castle. Shoddy football team though
