Average Weetherspoons, nicve enough atmosphere, but just one real ale on offer - and that from the Marstons chain. Come on Wetherspoons, you can do so much better than this.

I should mention real ales are 165p a pint Monday to Thursday according to the notice behind the bar so cheap compared to other local pubs.

First visit last Saturday and the music /noise was incredibly loud I had to shout to get my order across the bar .
Real ales were Bombardier and Youngs bitter and my Guinness was 310p a pint.

I prefer The Swan next door.

visited this pub febuary, what a dump the litter tray is to good a name for it,
staff have attitude problem and the customers be better suited to a young offenders institution, never again

Vile hell hole that I thought (and had hoped) most people stopped going to years ago so they could close it down.

Rank and rude staff that are always at least 5 years younger than you, snotty bouncers and moody angry shouty clientele who want to fight afetr doing there 8 shots of black sambuca at the bar, followed by 8 pints.

Pure class.

It's ok really. Not a huge fan of the place but its a decent little spot for an hour or 2 drinking before heading off to a club. One advantage is its not overcrowded, and the bar staff served me fast enough.

loud r 'n' b music eh? careful, this sounds like the sort of place that spells 'quiz night' 'quiz nite'. they do?

aaaaaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh!

Frequented by the type of scumbag who's not even aware that Elizabeth Duke jewellery is considered a joke by the rest of civilised humanity. Standard booze on tap at inflated prices for the aforementioned idiots, who are probably just glad to have a youth club that serves alcohol.

Locally known as "The Litter Tray", this "pub" has the layout & atmosphere of an airport departure lounge & probably some of the rudest & most sullen bar staff in town. The drinks are extremely expensive & the majority of the clientele are barely legal - which is amazing given that the bouncers would scare off anyone who is even vaguely street-wise. Walk past this pub and go to any other in town.

crap crap crap went in here for a mates birthday a fair while ago around august 2005 and jodie marsh was in here , and the staff swarmed around her like flys around a fresh mound of excrement , but looking at jodie marsh this is a good indicator of the average punter caked in make up looking a right state , beer wasnt too bad. the only highlight of the night was leaving

Attended the opening night, seems to be quite a friendly bunch behind the bar & staff, cant see anything of the poor comments of previously.

This is the future and it is MURDER.

Every town gets the pubs it deserves and this place tells you all you need to know about Brentwood.

Brentwood's historic and best pubs dating from 200 years ago or more were at the other end of the High Street and are now a Kay Eff Cee and a Caffe Uno.

The clump of chain pubs at the west end of the road have all the charm of... well, Brentwood, or Tipsy McStagger's Good-Time Drinking Emporium, as the town is more properly referred to.

Anyone who wants to defend the Litten Tree, fine, well I'm sorry, but if you have to be told.....

An all this nonsense about it being a Harold Wood lot that spoils the town's reputation, is just denial.
