A drinkers pub! Not the sort of place to take your Granny, or a new girlfriend on a first date perhaps, but a good friendly pub with good beer and chatty staff.

Great pub, live music, real ale. Often an eclectic mix of Goths,Bikers, and hippies. Thorougly reccommended. Unfortunately I live too far for this to be my local.

There's only one thing wrong with the Wheatsheaf - it's too far away to make it my regular!

The Wheatsheaf is in my opinion, head and shoulders above other establishments in L.B. The atmosphere is well relaxed, it has an very eclectic mix of freindly punters. All who are brought together for the same reason, it is a REAL No-Bullshit Pub that serves great beer. Places like this are a dying breed and The Wheatie is a real gem!

I have recently spent my first night in the Wheatie drinking. It was a good evening. Friend was with me who also goes when music is on, they say that is is a good night out. I had a great eveing, with a nice mixture of all ages of people.

Brilliant music, good beer - Jack O'Legs and Spitfire. And as Paul says, a Chav free zone. He's wrong about the front bar though, it's a time warp and should be left that way.

Have to agree with previous comments. The Wheatie has always had an unjust 'rough' tag attached with it. The staff are friendly, good drink selection, fellow punters are friendly and they have backroom where you can watch whatever on the big screen (without being surrounded by local Chavs - see Litten Tree) or listen to a live band on a Friday or Saturday night. Only criticsm would be that the front bar could do with a refurb.

All the people in this pub have had to put up with all the remours of it being a drug den and trouble pub.But it must be the cleanest one in town.Boy do they provide good music and beers too.All sorts of cultures in this pub and they mix as well. Not like some of the modern pubs

this is a superb pub and a bottle of desperados is a must for any visitor. Best pub in the town

A Leighton Buzzard institution and the only place in town with live music on a regular basis. Run by the same couple for at least the last twenty-five years, this is the place for ex-punks, bikers, Goths and students, all of who seem to coexist quite happily. Recommended.
