Car park was full on sunday so expected a poor service but we got served at the bar straight away, found a clear table and food ordered promtly by very efficient waitress. The salad let down the meal and another waitress couldn't stop itching herself which was not good but still a good place overall.

The beer is average and over-priced and the food is terrible. The beer garden is classed as a play area so plastic glasses only. On a positive note, there is a patio where, on a sunny Friday afternoon, you can watch the traffic chaos at rush hour.

No coaches allowed is a plus as far as I am concerned. Food range is more restricted than it was a couple of years ago, and fewer specials, but still better than a lot in the area. Beer has been ok whenever I have visited

ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT PUB. FOOD FANTASTIC, ALL STAFF VERY FRIENDLY. FOOD CRITIC WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT - THE FOOD IS BRILLIANT. INTERIOR LOOKS AMAZING, NICE LEATHER SOFAS FOR RELAXING, REAL ALES, GREAT SELECTION OF WINES. HAVE BEEN USING THE SPREAD FOR MANY YEARS AND THERE IS NOTHING LIKE IT AROUND THE AREA - ALWAYS GET GREETED AS YOU WALK IN THE DOOR, THEY HAVE AT LEAST 3 VEGGIE OPTIONS WHICH IS BRILL FOR ME. YOU CAN HAVE FULL TABLE SERVICE OR ORDER AT THE BAR. PRICES ARE VERY REASONABLE CONSIDERING FULL TABLE SERVICE, I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. OH AND HAVE A GREAT PLAY AREA OUTSIDE FOR THE SUMMER

While the decor is smart in this Banks's chain pub restaurant, the quality of food and beer is not. Compared with a few years ago, when it was moderately acceptable, the menu now is a mix of ready meals. To be frank, you get much better and cheaper microwave meals at ASDA.
Staff were few in numbers and rushed, meals really were poor.
A few other customers were grumbling and all the meals looked unexciting. Really can't understand the popularity of the place. Overpriced for what they offer. Drive into Penkridge and eat something better.

think this is a chain pub and if so it's a big suprise, as staff are very pleasant and good food/beer is value, not once but on several visits during M6 journeys, just exit Junc 12 westerly one mile.

Have called in twice now en-route from Telford to south, Clean friendly efficient pub, staff exemplary, food good & reasonably priced. Can get very busy but one nice unusual (these days ) touch was that the manager saw how busy it was rolled up his sleeves and helped out. Staff well selected and trained, friendly, use own initiative and efficient.

Don't know about "not long been done out", I've been using it for at least a couple of years & don't think its changed in that time. Good for food and popular as a result, you may have to wait 30mins+ for a table at busy times. Well behaved children allowed up to 9pm - and there's a play area outside. Beer range normally includes Banks's Mild (or Original as it is now called) and Marstons Pedigree.

Not long been done out and is extremely popular at all times but you can always get a seat. The food is fantastic and the waitresses are so refreshingly friendly compared to other pubs. Good range of beers and the location is ideal to venture on elsewhere
