please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Currently closed. No idea if/when it's going to reopen. Was a decent enough boozer and would be sad to see it bite the dust.

I quite like this place. It's not the cleanest pub in Archway, but I find the locals non-threatening and it's good for a game of pool.

Also, they occasionally get musicians playing there, which livens things up no-end.

The new manager has done a good job getting this place going again. Remember the location, it is holloway the young peoples pubs are like the quays and the archway

i agree. there was a guy there for a couple of years(ado)and he was excellent. everything a landlord should be,left about 18 months ago. whoever let him leave needs shooting. we stopped going when the muppet landlady took over and lost control.

Yes, I have to agree with A.B.R. there.
It's quite a nice pub decor wise, but is quite sterile and lacks atmosphere.

As i live nearby it would be handy sometimes to drop into a friendly local on a rainy afternoon but no not this pub it doesn't make u feel welcome..very unfriendly staff esp the moody faced land lady. Its good side is that they have a late licence and very clean.

great pub at the top of my road. If want to relax in a trendy leather sofa'd environment there's the St Johns, if you want live music and the local artistic company there's Nambukka but all pale into insignificance when it comes to Angie's willingness to remain open on a friday and saturday willy nilly allowing me a 5 min walk home.

Suggest you go to try the food!
Large pub - with air conditioning - wonderful. Good old fashioned pub with Sky Sports

Not the best place on Holloway Road by any stretch. Shiny, clean, characterless decor. There's no real ale (duh, this is Holloway Road), the lager is very standard boring fare, and they can't understand Guinness. A shocking waste of the site of The Marlborough, which used to be a fabulous boozer.
