Not a patch on the one in Birmingham - but a decent enough bar none the less

prententious and tacky like so many bars in the Lace Market.

Great live music on a Thursday. Good atmosphere too.

I agree with Steve, the manager commented on my accent, like it wasnt posh enough, he should go back to reading the paper, cause he certainly did not encourage me to spend anymore money in there.

I had the pleasure of visiting this bar (among others) during a recent two-day trip to Nottingham with a friend, and was certainly not disappointed! The bar combines a discerning atmosphere with high-quality music and a good selection of clientele. One of the finest bars I've seen in Nottingham so far. If you enjoy stylish establishments then this is simply a 'must'!

Found the staff to be very false in their friendliness, always there with a smile when you just want to shoo them away and be left alone. And the disturbing grin of the man in the gents dispensing soap, paper towels and watching you piss, expecting tips, what's that all about? "People who hang round shithouses get shat upon." There's a tip. Leave us alone! Let us drink in peace - somewhere else preferably. Won't be going back.

On a visit to Nottingham on 29/05/05,myself and a few friends, visited this pub and decided to have lunch,at the first glance of the menu we thought it was expensive,But we decided to order,as it was very nice suroundings and the staff were very friendly,we got our food, and i would have paid good money just because of the presentation,i was hoping it tasted as good as it looked, and i was not disapointed,it was just sausage and mash, but it was the nicest meal i have had in a very long time, i would have paid double the menu price my friends all felt the same about there food,we did not have one complaint, the staff were very good at there job, ensuring everything was good, and it was so compliments to the staff and the chef. we live down south but we would travel to your pub on a day trip just for a meal.by the way we have decided to do a day trip in nov,so please have the sausages and mash ready, thanks to your staff for such a inviting friendly service, and anyone visiting nottingham it would not be worth the bother unless you visit the living room.
thanks a million for such a welcoming,
marie and friends
