Large Wadworths house situated in the town's former mill. The watermill is still working and can be seen inside. The interior is split over two levels and there is an outdoor area overlooking the river and a multi-storey car par at the rear. Although it was a little overgrown. The 4 ales were all from Wadworth - 6X, IPA, Swordfish & Horizon. A disappointing selection in a disappointing town for real ale pubs.

Second Waddy's house visited today!! This one was in fairly good decorative order downstairs. But, as other posters have said, the upstairs was a bit of a mess. The real ales looked good, so I tried a Henry's IPA and I have to say it was in good condition. This pub doesn't 'tick all my boxes' but its worth a visit if you unfortunately find yourself in Andover!!! 5/10

went in today with my girlfriend and ordered a chicken burger and a cheeseburger, my cheeseburger was ok, chips were nice, girlfriends chickenburger was, well... two measly processed battered things that looked like they were bought in tesco's for 20 pence, way overpriced at 5.95!!!!!!!

Had a better experiences than previous reviewer. Went in pub 3 times over few days staying in Andover. Landlord very friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable about his beers. Tried 4 different ales which were all very good. The food was basic but good in quality and amount. The barmaids were on-the-case and chatted freely to me as a visitor, and not just to the locals as often happens. Yes, the upstairs is basic and slightly tatty, but the music and pool table are catering for the local young folk. Downstairs is very pleasant, great to look out at the mill stream. Don't be put off by the dark, unwelcoming entrance - persevere!

Full of kids these days, upstairs was filthy uncleaned tables and mess everywhere. landolord making an effort with a couple of real ales but little pull through means a usual crap pint.

Excellent conversion. Now two pubs in one. A quiet 'country' pub downstairs, with large range of delicious meals including specials served till 9pm, and four real ales well kept. Upstairs is very different: pool table, loud music, crowds of youngsters. All things to all people! The only problem is you have to venture upstairs to try and find the loos...

Wonderful old building with a lot of history, inside is modern and quite smart. Can be very cramped in the evenings and more like a sauna though the small riverside garden is a good retreat. Loos are still pretty awful. Normally keeps a couple of Wadworths ales on the go.

Now andovers town centre equivalent to the country pub (self proclaimed) Calmed down now and is really quiet

Toilets are still like they used to be (rubberised everywhere and always boiling !! )

Given an extra rating for how good it was back in the day
