Food was excellent and the hospitality shown by the landlord - Joe - was very refreshing.
Sunday night Karaoke was a stormimng night and I would recommend this pub to all ages.

Getting better but could do much more. Rather "cliquey" - if you donn't know the regulars (noisy) then don't bother. Food very good. shame about the rest

Good local pub but seems to cater rather for friends and regulars - staff. Can get noisy - the juke box is just TOO LOUD!!!!!
Good food and selection of beers.
Loads of money raised for charity at special events but this can alienate the casual drinker.
Not bad, but could do much better.

i would like to say how much of a turn around the east kent arms come. fantastic atmophere now that the new owners have taken over. congratulations to you both joe & chris. although still trying to upgrade the pub "while still being open" great pub

This place is rather like one of my local pubs and unfortunately there's one in every town. Sticky carpets, sticky tables and dodgy furniture. You know the type of place, one that seems to be run more as a social club for the staff and their friends rather than a pub. Maybe I went at the wrong time but apathy certainly seemed to be the order of the day. Bit of a shame really as it's in a good location and there's plenty of room, just needs a bit of attention and some money spent on it.

Recently improved, huge TV screen, quite quiet, pool table and a real ale on.
