Went in today, sure it's great for QPR fans on match day but there was only one other person in there and he was being screamed at by the landlady. Drank my decent enough pint and left

This place is now almost fully refurbished after spend ing some years in the doldrums. It is decked out in glorious Blue and White for the local Queens Park Rangers team. Note on Match Days this is open to Home Fans ONLY. Two dart boards are available and lots of live sport available on the multiple TVs. The darts team play on Thursdy evenings during the summer(I'm an occasional member). A function room/second bar is being constructed and will be open in the next few weeks. Well done to the team.

This place is now improving rapidly. Beer is very good the new TVs show all many sporting events especially the racing which is popular with the regulars. Refurbished pool table and new dart board provide added recreational entertainment. Likely to be popular once more when the Football season begins in August. Lagers currently 2.70 a pint very reasonable!

Was in there recently and noticed it was under new management since April 2008.... the beer tastes good.... there's also plenty of new flat-screen tv's to watch QPR's, Akos Busacky put the ball in the back of the opponents net.....quality!! Yes, this place has certainly changed and is quickly becomming the place to be for the home fans!!!!

Apologies the previous review should state "Changed Hands end of January 2008"

This place changed hands at end of January 2007 and is now under new managment, though still utlimately governed by Enterprise Inns. Decor is still lacking but the new management have made significant efforts in cleaning. There appears to be new pipework gone in and the toilets are a much better and actually smell fresh! At present sadly there is no real ale available and the aforementioned PubCo has just passed on a 4% price hike deep joy :-( Very much a locals pubs but friendly enough though is usually very busy on Match Day's with the close proximity to QPR.

I'm diehard QPR, but this pub for the local is a travesty. Walking in, I didn't want to look directly at anyone in here, even the barmaid with one tooth. Would have doublebacked straight out if a friend didn't need the toilet, which were, by her own admission, padlocked shut!!!

Stayed for a half, had half, will never return.

It's a complete dive, even around here there are better places to drink.

Went there once and couldn't leave. But only because my feet were stuck to the carpet. Will never go back. Don't think I've met a QPR fan who has been there more than once in the past 10 years.

The nearby bog-standard off-licence is a more worthwhile place to drink.

Convenient for QPR and (this season) Fulham footie - home and away supporters alike. Busy on matchdays, probably much quieter normally. Kids are welcome up to 7 p.m. No real ale, but the Guinness was okay.

Are you sure it's this Springbok that's now closed, not the one on Shepherds Bush Green, a SA bar downstairs that is no longer there?

Now closed!

Absolute tip. Usually frequented by away supporters on match days and people from the White City estate during the week.

Quick tip for away supporters - there are numerous good pubs on the Uxbridge Road and throughout Shepherds Bush and Goldhawk Road. The majority of these cater for both home and away fans, and are only a few minutes away.

They once refused to change a bad pint here, a cardinal, unforgiveable sin. I have never given them my custom since, despite it's proximity to the Loftus Road away end! I strongly urge you to avoid this amoral den. Not only do they take the p***, they sell it back to you!
