Not demolished but turned in to flats, some of which are still for sale, as there is a planning aplication for an extension of the permision to display advertising signs on display at present.

Ahh sad to hear it's knocked down... I worked there about 11 years ago (my first bar tending job). Yeah it wasn't the best place but it had a certain thing. Liked the food. I wonder what ever became of the landlord (pete?), his wife and their scotish terrier? Ahh well next time I return to brockenhurst it's the Rose & Crown or The Foresters Arms at least without my dog (it pissed on the floor all those years ago and has been banned ever since :) )

It is a bit "Slaughtered Lambesque" admittedly with the locals, but underneath the surface there friendly enough. Very close to the train station so is ideal for the all to frequent delays. Not the greatest pub but not as bleak in my view as has been painted out. Better than the local competiton as has some life at least.
