Elderly and well heeled clientele. They would need to be for the prices!
Nice atmosphere, leather armchairs and roaring fire in the winter kind of place.

Lovely pub but very stuffy need my lockets when I go in! Only visit occasionally as I don't feel welcome!

hell is cold compared to the griffin, my grandad would love to sit and tell war stories in those giant red chairs. the toilets are hard to get into especially to people who spell their name bryn. it is quite up market and is close to the yenn perfect for those staggers home. Our grandparents love the place and also perfect for business men. the place is dead!

This pub is all of the above comments, but also BLATENTLY OVERPRICED. Everyone has failed to mention that. Yes the food is great but at around 15 for a main course it bloody well should be. A nice place but it really isnt worth the money.

It IS a very nice pub and yes the food is great, particularly the Sunday Lunch. But, both gents and ladies toilets need a security code to enter, each and every time you need to go you have to ask the bar staff to "let you go for a wee-wee" which becomes increasingly difficult and embarassing as you can imagine.

Also, avoid in hot weather as the windows don't open.

Absolutely lovely food. Today, we went for a lunchtime meal, the food was good, the staff were attentive and the atmosphere was great. We would definitely visit again

undoubtably one of the best restaurants in the county, and possibly further.

Another old coaching inn (Higham is on the crossroads of the olde worle north south and east west trading routes). All open fires and leather seats. Serves the staples of Abbot and Eagle with a couple of guest ales changing frequently. Food is good, but expensive and served in the back area. A conservatory has added eating space at the expense of 17th century authenticity. Still, lovely pub, decent beer, nice people. That's enough for most.
