Superb old style English pub. Still holding character from bygone days. Car park at the side of the pub.
Would be an excellent afternoon or evening out, for anyone staying local or overnight in the Heathrow area.
The staff are most welcoming, and the selection of real english ale and continental , australian lagers is fantastic.
Make sure you dont miss this one on your way home!
I nearly stayed all night!
Cheers Kevin and Jane Penfold...

They have now got the Cask Marque and have been told they are getting a mention in the local CAMRA guide. Poker nights are coming soon and they have a seventies disco planned for Easter. They are getting there. Keep it up boys.

Friendliest pub in Stanwell, good bear, new guest ales making a good addition to the regular ones. New owners working hard to improve the pub, progress being made, still work to be done but their getting there.

As for low ceilings and unfriendly vicars, its an old building so low ceilings go with the territory but there not that low and it must have been another vicar and not our Farther W...

My husband thinks you guys pour the best pint ever!! We flew over from Las Vegas (our home) and he loved the "old english" pub feeling and believes that this is how all American pubs should do it. The next time we fly over we will be visiting again and properly be spending our whole vacation there - he loves the beer! We LOVE the new owners and think they have the pubs best interest at heart. Tej
(a local) is very humorous.

Hi have been drinking in this pub for 25 years, always friendly and a nice pint of beer. New owners who have a lot to do especially in todays climate. As for the unfriendly Vicar, you obviously dont know him at all!!!! Dont just take my word, go seek and you will see. : )

new management have improved the feel and restored a warm cosy feeling to a local pub that was sadly lacking , now has the feeling a pub of this nature deserves , highly recommended

Best pub in Stanwell. I have been drinking here for 27 years. Now under new management who are now doing much needed improvements. Serves real ale on hand pumps and I recommend the Courage Best.

New landlords have made loads of much needed repairs/refurbishments. Still ongoing with the toilets next for a major makeover. Guest beers are proving to be popular and they are hoping to qualify for both Cask Marque and CAMRA accreditation. gazs was a little over the top (or is it under) saying you need to be under 3ft but those over 6ft might want to watch their heads when walking from bar to bar.

local pub, now serving Bombardier . Courage Best and London Pride
The new landlords want to obtain a Cask Marque.
The are off to a good start.

ps: refurbishment is going on at the moment, expect to finish after Christmas. This is why there isn't any food until all work is done.

Enjoyable old pub, with two handpulls (Courage Best and London Pride) in good nick.

Has a function room and a beer garden. Pub needs some work doing to it, though planning restrictions may make this difficult.

New (currently temporary) landlord, Aussie Paul, has the right idea. Hopefully he'll get the chance to push this place forward as it has potential.

Worth a visit.

as long as your 3 foot tall, over 55 years of age and as skinny as anything, this is the pub for you

Alright pub, not bad people, again lots of locals, nice back room for a little party though. Had a good laugh at a birthday party there.
