This pub had recently been taken over and i must admit its one of the cleanest and nicest pubs i have been in in a long time. For a start the outside of the pub has been cleaned up and looks lovely the staff are very kind and friendly and the food was deeeeelicous i can not wait to go again it was brilliant .

Have not been for a while, thought I'd give it the chance after reading a good review, but will never go back again.
New refit looks good, and food menu looks great - but try ordering !!! Told there was a wait of over an hour (even though there was hardly anyone in there) and then whatever we asked for was not available.
Really embarrissing as I had persuaded a group to come with me - we would have spent over �200 between us and been back every month if things had gone well - but never again.

As blondie says its a classy refit.But all the hairy locals from the old shithole still drink there. It has attracted a few more youngsters which i think is its aim.

I have been in many pubs over the years that have had a refit.Most of them look like the same pub tarted up.But this pub is totally unrecognisable from the old pilot

This pub has had a great refit and has gone from being a right shit hole where the women were hairier than the men to a funky family/sports bar. great food and reasonable the only decent eldridge pope pub i've ever been to!
