I've just re-read my last post and probably didn't do this place justice, I really liked it and "Mrs Fawlty " but my wife didn't for some reason, so only visited once in our two week visit in July 2015, I can't remember what i drank, though must have been perfectly good, i do recall ordering a double malt whiskey not realizing they do 50 ml measures, and the wild boar sausages where lovely

Nice enough place in a fine part of Devon.

Inside is cosy and old fashioned, only had a couple here but would return to this place again.

7/10

Quirky little place with interesting interior. Run by Mrs Basil Fawlty .
Beer was alright and reasonably kept. Food was acceptable as well.
Take your torch to the toilet.

Went with a group of walkers/real ale fans, walking from Dartmouth.
Called in early afternoon for refreshment.
A good selection of real ales, friendly landlord and locals.
another gem of a pub

Called in after walking to Stoke Fleming along the coast path from Dartmouth. Lovely pub, but it was filled with a collection of the world's poshest and rudest people cluttering up the bar whilst ordering their wine and G and T's. I thought I'd walked into a Merchant Ivory film set. I shall return of an evening when they have all retreated back into the second homes that occupy for a couple of weeks every year.

We stayed in a lovely concerted barn 30 minutes walk away in Venn and this pub was an added bonus.
'Regotter' - the Otter Bitter renamed for the upcoming Dartmouth Regatta - was in excellent form and the atmosphere in the pub is so welcoming you'd wish every pub was like it. If you want to eat then you need to book ahead. Otherwise order takeaway fish and chips from 'The Brill Plaice' which is about 300m away and enjoy a pint while they're being prepared.

Lovely old building, tables out front and a garden at the back, superb beer beautifully kept (we tried Dartmoor and Otter) - what, as they say, is not to like ? Just wish it stayed open all day, but there you are, it's in a village.

After a scenic 1.1/2 hour walk from Dartmouth along the coastal path a pub with a decent pint will do but to find this gem was a real bonus.Good ale, well kept and friendly barman.Very comfortable.A return visit asap is something we look forward to.

Is the Green Dragon at Stoke Fleming a good pub? Yes. Spending a weekend in the area we came across the pub by chance and, not being impressed with visits to other establishments, we were totally surprised and taken with the Green Dragon. First evening we just had a drink but went back the following night to eat and boy are we glad we did. It seems to be very much a locals pub but the staff were welcoming, the food was seriously good and very reasonably priced. To sum up: The landady is lovely, her staff efficent and friendly and the food is melt in the mouth. If you have to visit Stoke Fleming for any reason then do not miss the chance to pop in to this place. We had to book for Saturday dinner and suggest you do the same as it does seem very busy.
