London Brewing Company pub with a decent ale selection - Vista, Black Dog Porter, Skyline & Beer Street were their ales, whilst they also had Severn Farmhouse Cider on. A very good bottle selection. Service was slow and the one barman didn't seemed too interested in serving people. Despite this, it was busy with more of a middle-upper class clientele than their other pub in North Finchley. This is a much smaller establishment than the Bohemia in North Finchley. Although there was an upper floor that I did not try. Toilets weren't the best.

Top class pub with microbrewery attached! Knowledgeable staff who offer an efficient service. Food looks good too...

What a great pub. We reserved as we were eating which turned out to be a good move. The atmosphere was great as were the meals. Superb beer and cider choice. They brew on the premises and the quality was excellent. 3 of the 5 real ales were theirs and the guests came from Oakham and Sambrook. Highly recommended. Walked past another pub in the street on the way to the station and it had one person it, about one fifthtieth of the number in the Bull. Do great beers and all else follows including the customers.

Not a bad stretch of road for pubs. Nicely done up albeit gastro in style. The North American bric a brac seems slightly at odds with this by way of being too artfully placed. Each to their own. What matters of course is the beer and service which was pretty good. The Bull's very own American Pale Ale is the most balanced example from a British Brewer that I have had so far and the Chicken wings are both generous in portion and spot on for taste. My main pork main was a tad disappointing, small portion of pork, beans overcooked, but the crackling was er..cracking! But it seems I chose badly as my three mates were all happy. All in all very pleasant.

The Bull is a fabulous and much needed addition to Highgate. Great food, staff and wonderful beers. Iam very impressed by the Bull Quiz on Mondays, tremendous fun and a great social evening. Well Done The Bull!

Upscale gastropub, but with excellent home-brewed beer. The food was good and imaginative, but the visit spoilt by a number of badly behaved children (it was a lunchtime and the place was full of yummy mummies and their spoilt brats). There s a drinking area and there is no pressure to order food. Probably worth visiting again in the summer when one can sit outside and just enjoy a drink.

Visited for the first time yesterday and was very impressed. Manager and brewer friendly, good choice of house ales.

We were very impressed by this pub. Id give it pretty near 10/10 for most things excellent beer, good range of cider, lovely food at reasonable prices, staff that were friendly, attentive and helpful without being intrusive, pleasing decor, good loos definitely a place we will revisit.

The main downside to our visit was that, on a mild autumn day, the fire was blazing and ventilation was inadequate (the windows where we sat could not be opened), so it was intolerably hot.

Another minor gripe is that, like all too many pubs, they lower the lighting as soon as natural light starts to go, which is annoying for readers and crossword solvers. However, it was not remdered as gloomy as some places are.

Wow! What a change from when I was last here...
Their own brews are very good, "London Brewing Co" Nervous Energy (an American Pale Ale @ 4.2), Beer Street (a best bitter @ 4.0) & Golden Ale (a golden ale @ 3.7) where going well...
They're doing a one off Pumpkin Beer for halloween from the 28th.

Visited for the first time since it reopened at the weekend. I have to say that I was very impressed, both with the food quality and beer range. The friendliest service that I've encountered in years, as well - with knoweldge of the product range, and the outdoor area was clean, spacious and secluded. Decently busy as well.

With the Wrestlers over the road this will become a destination worth savouring.

I first frequented The Bull some 48 years ago and was very pleased to see it open up again after having been closed for some years and inhabited by squatters. And what an excellent transformation and delightful refurbishment - but then one would expect no less from the new governor, Dan Fox, who for the past few years has been presiding at the renown White Horse in Parsons Green. Superb debut of their own brews here last night. Made to feel very welcome as well as enjoying seeing some old friends again. After several pints of their own excellent Beer Street at 2.80 per pint and savouring the menu we did not want to leave. But we will definitely return.

Went there on Tuesday.. quiet, but that was OK. Their own local brew - brewed in house - due to be on tap from Sept 6. Currently using Redemption Brewery in Tottenham - nice pint too. Good range of draught and bottled - though check the prices as some are a high (Torpedo @ 6/pt). Love the building and really hope it works for them. Pulled Pork as a main was v. tasty. Their biggest challenge is over the road...
