Refurbished and reopened as the Stafford Ale House. Back to the best days of the Pie & Ale, some very good beer.

Now the Pie and Ale House. Does what it says on the label. Usually 6 ales on handpump and a menu that features a lot of pies.

A hip place for Stafford. I agree with the previous poster; best late bar in town.

great bar! good atmosphere and decent music. If you are in stafford check it out as it's better than any other club/late bar in town!

Reputedly haunted, one of the manifestations is non-existant messages appearing on mobile phones. Shades of The Ring.

Great venue with great friendly, intelligent, usually musical bar sfaff.

Being away from my native Glasgow on New Year's Eve was made better by the bar staff, Kate was superb, congenial and beautiful.

Food is great during the day and music is good at night. Reasonably priced too.

Overall, great atmosphere and good tunes.

The surgery is located in the heart of stafford. It is known as the alternative late night bar. Music played there is diverse from blues to rock from soul to funk, dance to hip hop. It plays everything apart from pop that is in every nightclub around the country.

Live music upstairs-pub atmosphere down stairs till 2am is excellent. The staff are very friendly and the prices adequate in a reasonable area. Live comedy nights, bands, DJ, film are worth going to.

10/10 for a friendly night of laughter with a tradional setting
