Seven Stars, Foots Crayback to pub details please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.
Well.... I used to use The Seven Stars suring the 80's and 90's as my local when I lived in Sidcup. Since moving away. I found it to be a lovely pub with a friendly atmosphere. I went the sometime last year on it's last knocking and I found it to be terrible. I had 1 beer then I left.
After the redec I thought I would give it another try yesterday as I was visiting my parents. Well, what can I say.... Me (1 of 3 customers in the bar) had a warm welcome from the staff behind the bar. Asked what handpump beer they had on, I was told TT Black Sheep. A nice beer (at £4.40... hmmm). Very expensive for that area. Decor, Wooden floors (no carpet) it would have been nice to have had the walls a dard colour rather tham cream as it is a very old inn. Very food orientated, tables absolutley everywhere. Very little standing area although the garden area is great. To me very much a resuraunt than a pub. To me there was no atmosphere at all. Saying that, would it be different if I went there if it was busy. Who knows. Sorry, The Seven Stars is not the pub for me.

I visited this pub/restaurant on Wednesday 25th June at 9 pm; there were seven people in there including me; compared with the 'old' Seven Stars it is very bright-no dimly lit areas (is this old fashioned?).
Black Sheep Bitter was on sale but the price spoiled the taste -£4.40 a pint (3.8%) !!
There was a small round container on the floor by the skirting board to catch unwanted creepy crawlies
I will not be returning.

Ok I paid a visit to this newly refurbished, revamped public house and it still is a public house, as much as they going down the emphasis on food route. This was a Friday evening and there was nobody else in there (an ominous sign considering it's surrounded in offices and work places), so it was hard to rate service. I had a pint of black sheep, was ok nothing to right home about. There was another option on draught, but that was it for ales. A few lager pumps, but I never take notice of the lager. My wife was with me, for a pint and a coke it cone to over £6! We ordered some food, now considering this advertises itself as having a Michelin chef I was expecting something good...Especially for the price...Oh dear, tasteless minced beef and onion pie with Luke warm Smash potato and my wife had a tasteless pulled pork wrap, lacking any pork that was pulled. So I will say overall, if this pub is still open this time next year I'd be shocked. I wouldn't visit again that's for sure.

Has been up for sale for some time. Now closed - or is it simply being refurbished?

Very much a locals pub and therefore not overly friendly, but never had any trouble here and at the very least it has a pool table. Nowhere else local does.

Should be waltzing it, what with the removal of so much local opposition, but perhaps they're taking things too much for granted because I can't persuade many others to join me for meals. I wonder why?
