Still a cracking pub with quality beers. Get your beer served from a hand pump made with one of Sam Fenders Brit awards.

It's one of the few places left in North Shields that sells decent real ale. It can get pretty busy - sometimes manically so. Don't waste your money over the road in The Staith(e), the beer here is streets better, it's cheaper, and the bar staff don't look down their nose at you.

An Interesting place, good atmoshpere.
Locals a re friendly , However I think the water here is the most expensive in the North East. I paid 6.00 a pint for alchol free beer, Thats 48.00 per gallon.

This guy should manage Northumbrian water they need someone with his finacial talent.

Was closed for about six weeks until last Wednesday. Open again now under new management. I went in on Monday and they had three ales on Black Sheep, Workie Ticket and Bass.

run by the guys who had the Tap. As you would expect a good & varied beer selection

Been in a few times over the past few months. Beer always kept well and some unusual beers for the area. Good atmosphere in the place and the staff are friendly and always willing to chat.
