I went in here late on a sunday morning, ordered the omelette which was very well made and extremely tasty. The beer was fine but the ale selection was a bit limited. As they do serve food the place had a good few families in it, some children were crawling on the floor and, as we were coming to the end of our meal, a few more families came in for what I presume was a birthday party meaning the atmosphere was smashed to the four winds, children everywhere, and we felt out of place. The barmaid was also a bit glum so I've no idea what had bitten her that morning.
A very clean and nice looking pub with great food let down by hordes of children and a limited welcome. A real shame.

Its not so much a restaurant, more like a fast food joint with alcohol. If you like cheap food, burgers/ribs/steaks and families then go for it, but expect to wait for the food. If you dont stay clear.
Staff poor, Drink poor, Food OK when it finally arrives.

Had 3 good meals here last night. Excellent price and a nice pint of Braekspeare's. The total bill was less than 15.00.
I wouldn't recomend it as just a pub as nowadays it's more of a restaurant. Good value though

decent food, reasonably priced. Food pub rather than drinking pub. Staff OK, keen but disorganised. Not sure I'd go back.

I went in yesterday for a meal with my wife and grandson who is 17 years old. We understood that a 17 he could drink beer providing he was eating and with adults. The man in the pub who was dressed as a chef came over to the table we were sitting at and leaned on the table and said "have you id? My wife said no but understood at 17 he could drink with us etc, the man was very loud and said it was company policy not to serve alcohol to under eighteens. fair enough, we should have asked first, but he said this very loudly thus embarrasing my grandson. A simple word at the table would have sufficed instead we never enjoyed our meal at all as we knew our grandson felt dreadful.
We attend the pub quite regularly or we did, we shant be going there again simply because of this mans rudeness. Alright we were at fault originally but I dont think this man should have made a big point out of it. If adults speak to youngsters like this its no wonder the youngsters have no respect for grown ups!!

Nice pub. Has recently had the dreaded re-furb, but to be fair its still retained its character.

Great family pub. Excellent Guiness. Well away from high street mob culture. No hoardes! All ages. two sides. A snug and a games room. great food cooked fresh, not chain pub pre-cooked crap. but subject to availability.
