please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Re-opened and now called the 'Concho Lounge'. Why I don't know, as, as far as I can tell there is no connection between Spain and Newquay or why one would want to call your pub after the slang (in Spanish) for the dregs left in a glass or bottle.....oh well.

No real ale on draft but a good selection of lagers. All redocorated and with a good selection of seating, pleasant bar staff, about as good as it gets in this town.

Good pub, not as unwelcoming as it looks, reasonable service and competent/friendly staff. Haven't tried the outside area.

Another great pub in newquay. Good for a pre club drink, but also serves great food. Nice outdoor seating available but does get busy quite early.

The Newquay Arms is a cracking pub for the crawl towards central and sailors etc, a great place which has improved dramatically

Cocktails ahoy! I've been going to this pub for the last 6/7 years now and definately think its going downhill. Although that could be said for the rest of Newquay. When are bar owners/staff/DJs going to stop playing cheesy rubbish music. The Newquay arms was a lot better without it. I still go there though!

Rammed at the weekends, Bank holidays and New Years Eve, it's fine if you can handle Abba, Bon Jovi and the cheesier 60s classics. Bouncers in dickie bows. What you see is what you get.

Wicked place to go to before moving on to the few clubs in the area. Good cheesy music to get th party started. The patio area is great to chill out to, it does get quite smokey inside though. Excellant place - definalty go there!!

Great Pre Club pub, Excellent atmosphere, regular specials on beer and bottles, even on the weekends, not just a midweek ploy to drag people in. Its a large floor area pub, with a restaurant upstairs, aswell as an outside patio area. The bouncers are great, large screen showing music videos all evening, a raised small dance floor for the attention seekers :P and a huge long bar, ensuring moderatley fast service in the busy times. Only down side is the toilets...get your wellies out on a Saturday night!
