Very basic roughish boozer. Only real ale was the incredibly bland Courage Best, but it was 2.50 a pint. Don't feel inclined to go back.

Definitely open today; landlord ok, knew his beer. Well, atmosphere is dingy, but beer range very good & beer well kept. No need to try his advertised selections of scotch, or Belgian ales, as English cask was excellent.

Closed, at last.

Really surprised to read the last quote; nice bunch in when I visited, beer excellent with unusual range from about 3 small breweries. Teetopmetz obviously visited on a bad day.

Tried this pub again after giving it the benefit of the doubt. Real ale awful and pub full of chavs and people stood outside smoking and spitting. Avoid like the plague.

Opened recently, has a good range of local ales and rotating guest ales, wish the landlord wouldnt swear so much as my wife wont go in now which restricts my visits. With a different landlord this could be a great pub.
