Friendly town centre pub with a good selection of ales from Rowton - Area 51, Ironbridge Gold, Star Light & Moonstruck Mild. Everard''s Tiger is another regular. Guests were Heritage Victoria Pale Ale & Nottingham Cock & Hoop. They also have a couple of ciders on handpull. These were Bottle Kicking Company Scrambler & Weston''s Old Rosie. A complimentary plate of roast potatoes delivered to the table was a nice touch for a Sunday afternoon. The best pub in Wellington town centre.

Good average kind of town pub - the two ales brewed on site (Echoes and Four Candles) were decent enough. Basic open plan layout

Visited one Saturday lunchtime.

Good pub in centre of Wellington. Nice simple decor, mixed clientele, fairly busy but not crowded.

I think there were 6 real ales (mainly local plus Everards) in good nick and 3 ciders.

Food (I didn't try any) mainly rolls with trimmings etc.

Recommended.

This is now one of the best pubs in Wellington. Eight real ales in good condition and a real cider. The brewery is sponsored by Everards so they normally have one or two of their beers on. There may be up to three from the Ironbridge/Wrekin brewery situated outside next to the nicely refurbished courtyard. The inside of the pub is a single room, tastefully decorated with no TV or music. Lunches are available from 12 until 4. As well as the handpulls there is also an intelligent selection of keg and bottled beers and lagers. Well worth a visit. Five minutes walk from the railway station.

Re-opens next month after refurbishment as the new home of the Ironbridge Brewery.

Pretty awful - no ale, scabby interrior, scabby clientele, unfriendly welcome, intimidating atmosphere, hint of malfeasance in the air. I would avoid like the plague.

ROBCamra - What in the name of the good Lord do you do work-wise to stay occasionally in Wellington? It is one of the worst places on earth and as far as I am aware there isn't any "work" there to be done?! I am from Telford and went to school in Wellington and am therfore allowed to say this kind of thing. Stay in Shrewsbury next time; its so much nicer! I can recommend loads of pubs there too - The Coach & Horses, The Nags Head, The Armoury etc, etc

It's obvious that a few years ago that this place was a nice pub. It's not now. Leasehold is up for sale and the pub is a mess. Sticky worn carpet, missing or worn through tiling. 3 handpumps on the bar but no real ale. One old guy sitting at the bar and 4 postmen having an after work drink. I leaned on one of the tables and stuck to it. Don't try and lease it guys, knock it down and put it out of it's misery. Wellington is a real dump!
