It's part of the Taylor Walker pub chain now, rather than Rat & Parrot. Compared to the other 2 Taylor Walker pubs within the area (the Kings Head is only 100m away), it has a much smaller range of cask beers - both handpumps tonight were Youngs London Gold - unfortunately my choice in the KIngs Head!

Oh dear, one thing you expect pubs to have is an adequate supply of beer but the Youngs Ordinary clip was reversed and the London Gold ran out halfway through our order. No suggestion that one of the staff would nip down to the cellar and change the barrel - although the manager finally seemed to be attending to this when we left - and the clueless barperson suggested a pint of Kronenbourg instead (there being no other real ale on offer). That aisde, from the street the pub looks a bit squashed under a dull office block and decor-wise it is wholly unremarkable. They have also tried to cram too many tables into certain parts of the bar (making access to the ladies toilet rather tricky, for example).

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been in England.
Very bad welcoming, bad food, it was very cold, the staff wasn't kind at all, and I think that icecubes are not necessary when the temperature borders 10 degrees inside the room.

Alright but very lacking in atmosphere. Pretty much all tourist clientele and no cask ales. Fine as a meeting place though, a minute from the tube and perfectly safe. Just a bit dull.

Has a very pleasant atmosphere, but the range of beers on offer is not impressive. Just the usual stuff found in a local off-licence.

In the mid-70s this was the Duke of Edinburgh. It was then Benteys then What the Papers Say (or something similar). It was crap anyway.

Now called the Bayswater Arms.

I've had some brilliant times when i haven't been in here. Tiny and pointless pub in an absolutely dismal square half-mile for boozers. Whenever im on Queensway i yearn for a huge polevault to launch myself away! North, South, East, West, it wouldn't matter,..just a quarter of a mile in any direction! Actually maybe not south,..that would place me in hyde park,.and i'd be bang in trouble!

I HAD A DRINK THERE ON THE 21ST FEB. WHILE WAITING FOR A FRIEND & CHATTED TO THE IRISH BARMAID & SHE WAS A DELIGHT! BAR IS SMALL FOR A CHAIN, BUT OVERALL AN OK PUB, PRICES A BIT STEEP, AS IN MOST PUBS IN TRENDY AREAS.

I ordered a BLT. When it came I couldn't find any bacon in it! They said, "Oh Yeah, we're out of bacon". So why serve a Bacon/Lettuce/Tomato sandwich at all?
Their attitude summed it all up: a lousy pub.
