Good beer guide pub, a bit rough around the edges 5 beers available, Greenjach elderflower ale was very good. Would visit again.

On the plus side the beer is excellent, but as a previous reviewer noted, if you are not one of the motley crew that line the bar expressing themselves in 'colourful' language, you're unlikely to feel at ease here.

I do not understand gillhalfpint comments, as I have been there several times and always found the staff helpful & pleasant, nothing was too much trouble.
However, I understand that there was new management in April 2008, Jenny and Ian. A nicer couple you could not meet.

I will be going back next time I am on holiday.

A lovely village pub with a warm welcome, brilliant food and a truley wonderful community spirit. Nothing too much trouble.

Well i have lived all around the country, and finally settled in norfolk, and i can actually say this is the best pub all round, for company, atmosphere, and food, the locals are very friendly and the owners are always striving to please their customers, a great place to go top banana!

This was a large pub with Adnams beers on offer when we visited in October last year. Felt a bit put out by the locals sitting round the bar as it was difficult to get served and the atmosphere was not too friendly towards us as visitors, so we didn't stay long.
