Very good food too! Can't wait for the Winter and the roaring fires there.

Splendid remote Romney Marsh Pub, with 5 real ale's and 2 or 3 decent ciders. Well worth a visit.

Pretty beer garden. Good range of real ales. The St Austell brewery beer I tasted was excellent.

Busy pub in the middle of nowhere but well worth seeking out. 5 handpumps on offer, with very good food and some tasty looking roast spuds on the bar! Does a good trade in Sunday lunches - worth booking in advance. Nice beer garden.

I am genuinely surprised by the low scope this place has so far accrued, although clearly this was born mostly of 1 punter's disgruntlement 2 years aim which I hope was a blip. In any case, I found the Bell to be a thriving, unpretentious, welcoming house, which is a local for the working folk of Ivychurch first and foremost. We received a hearty welcome from the barmaid and the locals were conversational. Happily, 4 ales are supported, and those sampled were kept well. There was a pleasant buzz around the pub which left me feeling confident as to its prospects, notwithstanding its relatively remote location. Visitors new to the village may wish to visit the 15th century church round the corner - another genuine delight.

The Bell is a better-than-average village pub, quite large and airy inside (feels a bit like a modern renovation), which serves reasonable food and very good beer. The music was awful, but apart from that the experience was very positive. The locals were friendly; this has the air of a welcoming community pub rather than a museum piece. There were 5 ales on. I thoroughly enjoyed my pint of Henry IPA but sadly couldn't stay for more. Worth finding for lunch or an early evening meal.

I note that the last poster has only commented on this one pub

The Bell is a lovely pub in a lovely setting. We arrived for dinner and the starters were lovely. For my main I ordered a medium steak. The food looked good and I ate some of the trimmings before trying the steak. Unfortunately this was not medium but very, very well done and dry. The waitress sent the manager over when we explained that the steak was over cooked. The manager did offer another steak cooked for me but as I was part way through my meal and preferring not to send food back in places i don't know well I asked to have a reduction in the price instead. When we came to pay, an unitemised bill appeared. We questioned how this was made up and what the discount for the overcooked steak had been and were told 1 had been taken off (the steak costing 11). When questioned, the manager stated "we get a lot of people trying this on" and was particularly rude to us which we felt was embarrassing and unnecessary. The setting, drinks and staff were all great its just a shame this experience let the place down for us.
