Booked for NYE dinner. Waiter was exceptionally rude. Asked for the manager to complain, who was also rude and aggressive and suggested I'd over reacted and it was my fault not his staff. Got a refund and left spending NYE back at home. Shocking service, will NEVER visit this place again and will avoid like the plague.

The door staff were annoying several customers. I saw someone take a photo of a member of door staff and he grabbed her phone and threatened to call the police.

I personally found one member of the bar staff to be incredibly rude when our order increased on the arrival of two friends. At least two barmen had a very poor knowledge of simple cocktails - even those on the menu. The bar manager was completely ineffective.

Incredibly, the service was appalling on several levels. Very expensive and therefore overpriced.

Pretty cool place and cocktails delicious but a little expensive. Went here for a friends birthday and we ended up staying all night!

Cool place, great music. Shame it gets crowded in the door way but always space down the back. Gret customer service. two thumbs up

This place is pretty cool. It looks great and the staff are all really friendly. The 2 4 1 cocktail deal is excellent value, as normally 241 cocktails taste rubbish, but these are really good. A bit expensive otherwise, but a good place to start a Friday or Saturday night out.

Nice place. I really like the upstairs thing. It makes it seem exclusive. Good chilled out vibe inside, and excellent drinks deals at the moment.

We went to the loft with a large group and everyone has been raving about what a great night they had! I think enough people will have tried to organise a party in a club or bar, and it turned into a total mare - the usual combinations of guests list, rude door staff etc - but The Loft totally bucked the trend - nothing was too much trouble, everyone working there was smiley and happy, great drinks, music and atmosphere. We loved it and will definitely be back again -after we all recover from Saturday that is!

Really good bottled beer list for a cocktail bar. Draught selection is acceptable, but could benefit from a real ale. Amazing steaks in the restaurant. The cocktails are exceptional. Nice staff, and good midweek and at the weekend.

Not a pub at all, but seriously good cocktails and a very good bottle beer list. Friendly staff, and good 2 4 1 deals of cocktails early doors. Can be a bit expensive otherwise.

Still fuming about the way we were treated there last night - chucked out for acting a bit silly.

Were we creating a fuss? No. Were we shouting? No. Starting a fight maybe? No.
We were five girls who hadn't seen each other for over a year, sat on the sofas around the corner from the main bar, laughing and catching up.

Someone said something and for a second, we all put our legs in the air. I can't even remember why now. When the little bouncer man came over to tell us off, I thought he was a bloke who'd seen us having fun and thought he'd try his luck.

I could not BELIEVE the way that guy spoke to us - telling us off like little children, in such an aggressive tone of voice. It's not like we were exposing ourselves, we were all wearing jeans for god's sake - you see drunken women do far worse than us!!

So shocked at the way were being treated, one of the girls took the mickey. And the next thing we knew she was being frogmarched out onto the street and not even allowed to come back for her handbag.

The staff would not see reason. What a jumped up, pretentious place. I'll never give them another minute of my custom and I urge everyone to steer clear.

Over-reaching, under-performing, opportunity well-and-truly missed!

The wait to get in wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't got to the front and overheard what appeared to be the promoter telling the bouncer that the queue wasn't big enough and needed to be longer (we'd waited at least 20 mins).

Inside it looked ok, similar to a Tiger-Tiger, but the combination of not serving pints and justifying it by claiming they took too long to serve was too much (cocktails appeared to be ok, mind)!

Also, I thought toilet muggers had got more sophisticated these days, but no - apparently the days of turning off hand dryers at the switch above the unit are not over.

Like Jillee77 we went to a lovely pub elsewhere!

Apart from housing two of my main bugbears - a point in the evening where the bar stops serving pints (only bottles) and *those* 'bathroom beggars', I found The Loft to have a great, easy-going vibe with very attentive and friendly staff. In fact some of the friendliest bar staff I have come across - chatty, respectful and eager to please. I held my 30th birthday drinks here recently and the team were great will all my guests; and following a tip-off from my fianc - even made a special 'birthday panna cotta' (as opposed to bday cake) with a candle in it. Nice touch ;)

The place itself looks cool without being self-conscious about it, and you can forget you're in Clapham for a while. Would recommend, especially for parties or reservations. Also the bar food - namely the pan fried squid was excellent!

snotty pretentious door staff. pick & choose who they like the look of when deciding who to let in. Stereotypical 'clapham door staff' attitude. after a 45 minute wait, gave up and went to a lovely pub elsewhere. won't bother trying again.
