Pretty muck as the previous comments. Nice food and good to see imaginative choice of beers including, on this visit, from the newish Island (Wight) brewery and Hammerpot. Ale in good form.

Your typical suburban boozer with friendly service and a nice selection of ales from which I quaffed a well kept pint of Hophead. Quite large inside and does food although I didn't partake. Chilled out on the small patio out front, watching the world go by. Would certainly visit again if in the area.

Nice pint of HopHead bitter. Sunday lunch 10 for 2 courses - very nice dining area. Live music Sunday afternoon.
All round, the nicest pub in Selsey - so no surprise that it gets quite full.

Popped in for a 'quick half'' after a brief stroll along the beach. Nice pub with a friendly barmaid. Good selection of local ales. We went in for the Arundel Gold but it wasn't on that week so had a Langham's Best Bitter instead. Tasty. Would like to have stayed for more but so many pubs....so little time....

seems to be set up more for the food side of things, the restaurant bit is separate from the very small bar area that is more a stand up locals affair, had a nice well kept pint of some thing(cant remember) but as we wern't eating we moved on to some where a bit more intimate for a quite drink with the misses

Very attractive village pub - mix of locals and holiday makers. The beer was very well kept and the food excellent.

I can only reiterate what a wonderful pub this is, i had scampi in a basket and it came out in a washing basket it was huge! must of been about 600 pieces of scampi and for the chips they gave me 2 bags of fries and my own frier to cook it in, I got a 5 litre bottle of taretare sauce and 4 lemons!
absolute sale of the century
kind regards captain birdseye

This highly recommended pub was a disappointment on my visit. Hoping to have a meal one evening, but as I had not booked a table was informed I could not dine there and staff not interested.

What a transformation, refurbished pub with traditional feel. I had a really good pint of Hop Head and the best Steak and Kidney Pudding for years.
