CLOSED and now mercifully a Vietnamese restaurant.

Now being refurbished. It surely can't be as bad, but can they make it any better?

The gods of good watering holes have been merciful - and the Quebec Curve has been closed down and remains so after six months. The pub - or more particularly its management - were a disgrace in its declining years and any goodwill remaining rapidly evaporated. Is it missed by the locals? Not for one moment.

Will never go into this pub. Lacking in atmosphere and music is deafening. I like loud music but not a pub that sounds like it should be a 2am nightclub.

I would usually never write a review about a restaurant/pub on a web-site. I work in the industry and I know how upsetting/unfair some of the comments can be. On the other hand, I had such a horrible experience in this particular pub and mannaged to get so upset (still are) that I felt compelled to write about it. I went to the 'Quebec Curve' while waiting for my movie to start in the nearby cinema; it is a great building with loads of potential. The space inside it's amazing even though the decor could definetely do with come tlc.
The place only had one couple in the corner when me and my friend entered with no staff to be seen. It turns out the waiteress/bartender was ouside smoking! She didn't return our greeting and was irrefutably rude when asked about whether the kitchen was open. It actually seemed that we were bothering her in someway just by being there! We were dismissed to our table with a sneer and were paid no attention at all from her and her colleague who instead put their considerable talents into reading magazines and listening to music...
When asked about some food missing on our table she defensively picked up a menu and rudely dismissed the claim making a comment under her breath to her colleque as she walked off for yet another cigarette!!
The food was average to say the least; chips were undercooked and the burgers were very cheap quality.
As we finished our dinner we then decided to go and sit outside as far away as possible from the demonicly rude red-headed "waitress".
I honestly feel that this place has got loads of potential, and I wonder if whoever invested in the business is aware of how badly it is run... What a pity!!!

Another inexplicably dismal pub in the SE16 area. Modern, purpose-built location from mid-nineties, this bar is as uninviting and badly-run as they get! Mid-week is deserted and unfriendly.

Recently visited for lunch. Literally, no other customers in the bar - and yet still stood waiting to be served whilst TWO staff members finished their conversation! No greeting, no smiles - just perfunctory slapdash service. Food below par, served without pride or notion of customer service.

Despite being deserted, the piped music was on so loud - inside and out - it was impossible to have a conversation with my partner! It appeared to be solely for the benefit of the staff - who studiously ignored us throughout our inevitably brief visit. Toilets were unpleasant and general interior looked unclean and neglected.

This bar reflects the attitudes of its very young target market - it is surly, slapdash and horribly complacent.

The first time I went here was for an 18th birthday party last year and I had a cracking night. The staff are really friendly and the drinks aren't too overpriced. I've been back a few times since and remain pleased with the service.
