Agree with the review below another four years on. Definitely gone downhill - which is a shame.

Got the impression this place has gone downhill since our last visit 3-4 years ago. Only one real ale on, and that was off the following day. Disappointing.

What a nice little find at the end of the main street in Rosemarkie. A gorgeous exterior - the sort of pub you take one look at and all of a sudden feel like a pint. One handpump was on, serving Cairngorm Trade Winds in good condition and the fire was most welcome on a not-so-good day in late september. Friendly barman too. What else do you need??

Lovely looking pub - small bar at the front and a restaurant at the rear. Decent beers and friendly staff.

The Trade Winds was excellent, the barman friendly and the food smelt great. Log fire was brilliant. Didn't eat as I was in a hurry to get to Anderson's, but I would happiliy go back.

Friendly, with good Ale and a fire imported from Hades.
Didn't try the food, unfortuately, but it looked and smelt delicious.

A lovely pub with friendly staff, when I visited the beers on off were Cairngorm's Trade Winds and An Teallach Crofters Pale Ale. Apparently Black Isle beers aren't sold here although other Scottish micros are regularly stocked.

Excellent Pub! - real ales and a decent bar with character at the front, while further back is a beautiful restaurant. Food when we visited was gorgeous; good choice for all, meat eaters, fish and vegetarians.
Very popular so you will need to book; we were there on a Thursday and the only table they had spare was at 6pm for 2 - steaks, fish and lots of seafood (Cod in the lightest batter with home made wedgey chips), delicious puds (home made meringue filled with cream and fresh berries, and the toffeest sticky toffee pudding).

Visited 7th and 10th July 2003- No longer owned by Black Isle Brewery-but 2 real ales(at my visit AnTeallach (changed to Cairngorm by2nd visit)and Directors. Excellent Food and Beer Garden

Owned and run by the Black Isle Brewery, this lovely unspoilt pub by the village green supports a terrific range of largely organinic real beers, including a continental style wheat beer and a chewable stout. Excellent food including local seafood. Well worth the drive with camping on the seafront nearby.
