came here 2 days ago, food shocking! i had a beef burger, the bun was stale! no relish, chips where old and dry! looks like the chef (cook) was having a bad day. only a small place and had a funny smell! not one of the best places i have been too

Tried the food yesterday... it was very good and excellent value for money. 8oz gammon, egg, chips and peas for 6.00!

Three cask ales on, Pedigree, Theakstons Best and Ruddles Best. Tried the latter two and both were excellent.

This pub is well worth a visit. Although in a village, easy to get to - 10 mins walk from the main road/bus route, or 10 mins walk from Summerseat ELR Station. The Footballers is literally just over the road as well.

Good pub, with a couple beers on offer. Was very busy on a monday night, no obvious reasons why. Good atmosphere, good beer.
