please note - reviews on this site are purely the opinion of site visitors, so don't take them too seriously.

Visited this pub for the first time in years, the crowds have gone but unfortunately the bad service remains. About a dozen customers scattered around pub, waited at bar for ages before looking around corner to find two bar-staff reading a newspaper! Left after listening to one of the governor's grey haired cronies telling racist jokes.
No wonder the customers have gone, couldn't run a 'what you might call it' in a brewery.

They do not like strangers in here, expensive compared to other locals. Beware the fat bearded racist at end of bar.

would love to live closer to here to go down on a friday night as i hear great reviews - mind you some people say its an over 30s poser pub!!
i like going down on a week night with my boyfriend and sit in the corner as no one bothers us, but you will end up at the bar chatting for 10 mins before you get away to sit back down...not a bad pub lovely beer garden shame the pub is so small

This pub is a real 'locals pub' in the American werewolf
sense. Also the price of drink went up 4p last week, they increased it by 15p!!!

Been here once on a friends birthday, would definitely go back, small-ish pub. With a friendly atmosphere. Can't really comment on the beer. As I drank Newcastle Brown that night.
